New Bulkhead Assembly & Shot Blasting Facilities

Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, WI is one of the largest ship building operations in the United States.  Heyrman is proud to say that we have built a number of additions to their facility.

The structures were all pre-engineered metal buildings, designed to accommodate sand blasting and painting operations.  The buildings house sophisticated bead blasting equipment with large drying equipment.  The buildings were designed to withstand the constant exposure to a high pressure washing atmosphere.  Extremely large bi-fold doors were installed to accommodate gigantic bulkhead components.  A state of the art ventilation system and lighting are some of the other features of this building.
